Thea von Tavannes is a stunning 1-2 year old sable German Shepherd who has quickly captivated all of us at the rescue. This sweet, taller girl has a wonderful personality and wants nothing more than to love and be loved—often by crawling right into your lap to melt in your arms and shower you with kisses. On a leash, she is happy and curious, listening well to directions and walking nicely in a heel position. Thea shines in canine social settings. On walks she meets other dogs with a friendly manner and wagging tail, and she is a gentle and  friendly presence in playgroups, with a special gift for comforting other dogs who feel unsure. She's also tested well with cats. What's not to like?  Thea was surrendered  by her owner to the Kern County Animal Shelter, no reason was given, just that she was a “good dog." So many people have to make sad choices these days, another family will be lucky!
